I agree, also support Hillsdale for many years and still do. When I was running my Consulting Co. I had a recruiting division. Order from headquarters: resumes tot eh round file, any Lawyer, any one from the Ivy league, No body can wreck a company faster that a Harvard grad.

For a number of years, I worked for a well-known Silicon Valley Co. The Sr. VP was a Harvard alum, so he brought in what we called HMBA’s (Harvard MBA’s). Most of them could not walk and chew gum at the same time, but management listened to them, better than then did those of us in sr. mgmt. One day my boss was so frustrated that he came to me and said: “We should all quit and come back on board as “consultants!” We would be paid twice what we’re being paid, and they would actually listen to us! Plus we would avoid all these hair-brained ideas that the HMBAs have!”

I’ve experiences that. A Harvard MBA destroyed a company I know. The company owned 97% of their global market. They had really no competitors. All they had to do is adopt electronic data processing. After $1 billion and 20 years, they failed to do so. They did a Kodak and are now facing total collapse. Piss poor management by a Harvard MBA ruined the company. He had no discipline to offer the organization, no forward thoughts, no drive, just platitudes.
