McConnell has placed his support, his money and his political machine behind recently appointed Senator Luther Strange ................................ Could it mean another pair of dirty hands in Congress?

I would back Mo Brooks. Moore is another Akin waiting to implode in the general, in a seat we can’t afford to lose. His Putin comments were insane.

I still think that Brooks could win in his next election by bowing out and giving his support to Moore, putting him over 50%. By doing so, Moore would owe him a lot, and would be able to lobby for him with the party for leadership roles.

Brooks is already facing a primary challenge from a liberal Republican who disdains the Freedom Caucus, who is also a one legged Iraq war vet. But with Moore’s lobbying for him, his seat would be protected by the party.

I suspect that McConnell is uncomfortable with his status as majority leader. It leaves him perplexed about what path to take when there is no Democrat Majority leader to show him the way. He is making the most of his bad situation by trying to ensure that no more conservatives get elected who might, in the present atmosphere, even resist co-optation by the Chamber and Soros which explains his support for the strange candidate in Alabama. If When Moore wins the primary and then the election the pressure on him when he gets to D.C. will be intense and the wealth and security proffered will be even more bountiful than usual. If he holds to his principles the isolation will be just as intense.

Mo Brooks should drop out. His presence only serves to keep Roy Moore under 50%.

you’d think Majority Leader Mitch McConnell would be singularly focused on capturing the 25 Senate seats Democrats will be defending in 2018.

McConnell is playing to lose. He's much more comfortable being in the minority and doesn't know how to lead.
