This is a much better article on the subject than Matt Walsh’s. I get tired of people virtue signalling their way into the subject like Walsh and many others have been lately. It does nothing to really address the problem but only serves to elevate these people into the spotlight, like they are above it all and talking down to the peons.

Well written article! If the political parties don’t want to take Greenfield’s advice, we’ll see how it all comes out. Our academic, business and political leaders have been striving to take technological tendencies out of us for over 40 years now by taking away our manufacturing base and tools.
When they are ready, we’ll find out if their efforts turned technically inclined people away from technologies for any meaningful duration.
