This just occurred to me recently...which part of the country was the most segregated? The North of course, because historically the North had few blacks whereas most of the black population was in the South. People in the South had more daily interactions with black people while most people in the North had few or any interactions with blacks.
Funny, isn’t it? How even in the “conservative media” a bunch of white kids beating up on a bunch of other white kids has become a “race riot”. God help us.
I suppose it is impolite of me to say so but when you crawl up on the back of an auto with a baseball bat and start smashing the rear window in the company of several score of your “friends” and end up dead a few moments later I don’t quite see how that qualifies as “tragic death”. Foolish suicide seems more appropriate to me, but maybe that’s just me.
Wondering what symbols or flags are going to be banned that are associated with NORTHERN slaveholders? Which statues and monuments will be removed or destroyed? Can anyone guess which flag will be abolished? Hint: Stars & Bars!!

I moved from the north to Virginia in the late 1970’s and found the “racist” south to be more integrated and less racist than most places north of the Mason-Dixon line.

Yeah, I have seen it at 4chan. They claim she is the one killed, she was crushed when he reversed into the side of a parked truck. No question she runs up and jumps on and is the first to break the window. If that is her. They claim it is.
I have spent a little time in Albemarle County, and on the original campus of the University, which Jefferson designed, and this is truly sickening.
Also, the very idea that anyone would want to remove a statue of Robert E. Lee, one of the least hate influenced leaders in all of human history. Are these yahoos in the media, with their canned narrative, even aware of how significant was Lee's example in binding up the post war wounds in the five years before he died?

We used to like going up there to visit our daughter when she went there. We loved it but I couldn’t imagine it now and haven’t been back in 15 years probably.
Virginia politics for a long time remained Jeffersonian; but now? It really gets to me how great the difference, then & now.
