After months of criticism that GoDaddy was providing a platform for hate speech, the Web hosting company announced late Sunday that it will no longer house the Daily Stormer, a neo-Nazi website that promotes white supremacist and white nationalist ideas.
GoDaddy said in a tweet that Daily Stormer had been told it had 24 hours to move its website domain to another provider because it had “violated” the Web host’s “terms of service.”
GoDaddy’s announcement was in response to an appeal from a Twitter user who called attention late Sunday to an online post by Daily Stormer founder Andrew Anglin. The post disparaged Heather Heyer, the 32-year-old woman killed Saturday in Charlottesville, police say, after a man plowed into a crowd with his vehicle.

This might work out the opposite of the way they had hoped it would. Among other things it might do is get these groups funding their own infrastructure that cannot be shut down.
Unfortunately for them, they have zero right to a non-government, third party hosting their disgusting website. Also as it should be.
Look for GoDaddy to go across the board after those sites as well.

Yeah, that was the problem. They posted a story about the woman, a 32 year old paralegal in which they described her in the most disparaging terms they could think of in order to trigger the SJWs.
Yes, she was a member of ANTIFA, and a particularly odious one.
And therein lies the wisdom of websites that make themselves as independent as possible from the whims of third parties.
Daily Stormer is over the top: refers to itself as “pro-genocide,” etc. They’re practically begging to be censored.
GoDaddy does not own domain names. Correct??
What alternative company maintains a website censor free??

Free market. Daily Stormer can find another hosting provider, or do it themselves. It's not rocket science. And it's certainly not the first time a dodgy site has been told to bugger off by their provider.
Can someone make a meme similar to the “bake the cake” meme, only use “host the site” wording?!?
I mean, what’s the difference between a bakery deciding to NOT bake a cake and GoDaddy NOT hosting this groups website?!?
Now, I agree that GoDaddy should be allowed to refuse service to this group, but then again, I think bakeries should be allowed to refuse service to whomever they wish, as well.
