I think that’s what he’s doing now. He has no legal authority to remove him, so now he’s using the Bully Pulpit. It’s wonderful to have a president who fights.
Wonder how McConnell’s wife is doing in her position? Maybe it’s time to replace her. There’s nothing Trump can do to turn McConnell into a patriot.
How? Threaten him with what? Removal as majority leader? All McConnell needs are the votes of 26 Republican Senators to remain leader. That is a piece of cake for him, given the way the Senate GOP feel about the President. Issuing a completely empty threat would accomplish absolutely nothing and would just make the President seem even weaker.
