I always found it curious that Obama looked to the worst public school system in the country, a failing system, and selected their CEO to head the federal Department of Education. And no one said a word.
And he was immediately confirmed by the Senate.
I wasn’t even that curious. Head of the worst managed school system in the USA is a lock to be in government. He already was OK with waste, corruption, and inefficiency, so he was a perfect fit.
