NBC News is sparing no expense on its new star, Megyn Kelly, and the lavish spending is ticking off some of her new colleagues at the Peacock Network.
Kelly is on a five-day nationwide tour to visit affiliates in major markets, and she is traveling on a charter jet with a support staff of five or six people, including a hairstylist, a makeup artist, a publicist and a security detail.

I have no idea what NBC or anyone else sees in her.
Beginning to look like the prelude to Me-Again’s “last hurrah.”
While I completely understand that there is more ‘work’ than the 1 hour per day, 5 days per week, but 18 mill would look pretty decent to some guy out shoveling asphalt 10 hrs a day, 6 or 7 days a week in season, or one of the Marines that walk the fence line in Gitmo or soldier in the DMZ in Korea.
As to her on a ‘whirlwind’ tour to pimp her ‘new show’, what would the same gripers be saying if she did nothing but sit in her office till she went on the air in Sept.
I hope her ratings are a divatrocity.
I think her ego really went supernova when she hosted the debate.
NBC is throwing good money into bad money. It is like buying a house and finding out it is a money pit. They are too stupid to cut their losses. It couldn’t happen to a better network.
Similar to the ad campaign for the “The New COKE” No matter how much it’s pushed, people don’t like the taste and would enjoy the Old Classic better. New and Improved means absolutely squat.
I think they got confused. Her popularity at Fox was going up because she asked tough questions and had the facts.
But, when she attacked Trump using typical leftist feminist methods (which we thought she was above using) we dumped her like a hot potato.
NBC didn’t realize something horrible had happened because of course “everyone hated Trump” and they hired her right at the wrong time.. Their mistake!

Actually a better paraphrase would be "I want to see NBC spending bucketloads of money setting up and promoting her show only to see them lose a fortune and her not get paid."
she served her purpose, she started the downfall of Fox News and helped winnow the field of competition for NBC “news” ..
Kelly is doing a great job, keep up the good work.
