Irony: Lower Corporate Tax Rates Is Priority #1 for Media Companies

Within the next few months we can expect to see the Trump administration support a bill to lower the corporate tax rate. Of course, it is 100 percent certain that many liberal entertainers will be screaming and protesting about how unfair it would be to lower that tax rate. Every one of them should therefore be asked if they are therefore willing to quit working for the media corporations that pay them their exorbitant salaries. The reason is that Variety has reported that the media company executives, despite their political differences with President Donald Trump, are completely in support of him lowering their corporate tax rates:

How many liberal actors/actresses will refuse to accept their huge salaries as a way to protest that the corporate media entities paying them have gotten a lower tax rate?

Since media companies do create vauous jobs, but do not add to the strength of the nation’s G.D.P., I suggest they get taxed more, since they all support government largess, let them take the brunt of the taxation to support that notion.

I would suggest a flat percentage, no less than 49%, to be levied on performers. All the other titles that are displayed in movie and TV ending credits, no less than 45%. Then, if none exists, a simple federal excise tax upon all entertainment-related property, along the lines of state-levied quarterly inventory taxes, whther that property be a blank-firing firearm, studio, or anything used in the filming.

If it seems that I’m being ‘harsh’, remember it was Hollywood that fought the anti-pornography laws and the anti-Communist laws.

Disney, Comcast, Viacom, Time Warner... companies that use their respective MSM properties to piss in your shoes.

I am so fed up with stupid actors, rich people (Buffet), and politicians who say taxes are too low on the rich. I’m also PO’ed at the general public for being stupid enough to swallow that swill.

First of all, politicians who say “the rich don’t pay their air share” are full of crap. 72% of ALL federal income tax receipts are paid by people in the top 10% income bracket. If anything, they should get a tax cut, since it’s these people who create jobs. How many of you were hired by a poor person?

Second, who do those clowns think wrote the tax code? They did, and they wrote it in such a way that the rich could contribute to their campaigns. Even worse, the public is stupid enough to go along with this argument.

Finally, to those actors and rich people who feel taxes are too low, I don’t see one of you taking out your checkbook and writing a multi-million dollar check to the IRS over and above what you owe normally. Until that happens, sit down and STFU; the rest of us are struggling out here.
