Rosenstein: Mueller needs to come to me if he wants to chase any crime outside scope of Russia probe

Shortened title.

Full title: Rod Rosenstein: Mueller needs to come to me if he wants to chase any crime outside scope of Russia probe

If special counsel Robert Mueller finds any crime outside the scope of the federal investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, then he'll have to seek permission, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said Sunday.

"Bob Mueller understands and I understand the specific scope of the investigation, and so no, it's not a fishing expedition," he told host Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday."

Rosenstein appointed Mueller to oversee the federal Russia probe, which includes a search for possible collusion with the Trump campaign, back in May after President Trump fired FBI Director James Comey. Because Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from the case, Rosenstein ultimately was given the power to hire, and fire if he has good reason, Mueller.

It will go like this:

Mueller: Hey Rod, I want to investigate anything ever by Trump.

Rod: Sure thing, bro!

Let me translate: I know what I should’ve wrote.

The Fix is in. This investigation is interminable.

Unaccountable and ran by zealots, any 10 yr old can predict the outcome.

Mueller: Hey Rod, I want to investigate anything ever by Trump.

Rod: Sure thing, bro!

More likely it would go like this:

Mueller: Hey Rod, I want to investigate anything ever by Trump.

Rod: Well, that has nothing to do with Russia and the 2016 campaign -- so it's out of my area of responsibility.

Jeff Sessions: Any investigation along those lines is my responsibility as U.S. Attorney General.

This is BS put out by Rosenstein for spin control, and to cover his own behind if enough Republicans find their spine and call him on it. (very doubtful)

Mueller is ALREADY pursuing things far, far removed from anything in the election. Rosenstein has done nothing to restrain him, and clearly has no intention of ever doing so.

This is exactly what it looks like: A witch hunt. The goal is to find or manufacture some flimsy excuse to remove President Trump.

The Grand Jury was picked in a location that went 91% Hillary, 4% Trump. Any pretense of objectivity is absurd.

Don’t look for the “Republicans” to stop this. On the contrary, this is exactly what they want.

Want proof? EVERY SINGLE SENATOR voted to block President Trump from making recess appointments while they were on vacation. This is after slow walking all of his appointments.

Most of the “Republicans” in both the House and Senate have been lying to us for decades. At least now we can see what they really are.

I don’t believe him. The document which sicced Muleears onto Trump, gives NO clear boundaries beyond which Muley dasn’t go. Now that this detail is being discussed nationally, Rosenstein is attempting to evade the issue. Muley’s acquiring liability insurance on himself and his cohorts tells me all I need to know. And we’re paying the insurance premiums!

Or perhaps like this:

Mueller: Hey Rod, we stumbled across massive evidence of crimes by Hillary and the DNC, including murder, collusion with Russia to create a dirty tricks dossier, obstruction of justice by Comey, McCabe, Lynch, and others, abuse of office by Samantha Power, Susan Rice, Brennan, Clapper, and others throughout the government, sale of office by Hillary, etc.

Rosenstein: You are forbidden to pursue any of that, because neither Trump nor his associates are the perpetrators. Destroy all the evidence immediately.

Mueller will "chase" outside the "scope" of the investigation, and then after the fact, he will come to Rosenstein for "permission".

I would imagine that the definition of “Russia probe”
might have a definition that expands as needed. For
example, if Trump ever ordered Russian dressing with
his green salad that would trigger an expansion
or if Trump visited a proctologist with a Russian
surname, or if he had ever indulged in a tin of caviar
with a Russian label, etc.....

Mueller: We “stumbled” [laughter] across reasons to expand the investigation. Can we?

Rod: Uh sure.

“”If there’s evidence of a crime that’s found within the scope of what they have agreed, then Mueller has free rein, Rosenstein explained. “”

I say those are weasel words and those are the exact words that have been repeated since he spoke them. He knows what the scope is - Mueller knows what the scope is BUT we don’t know what the scope is or what they agreed on and that will be crux of it when it gets all botched up!! He’ll fall back on that statement and say there’s been no backpedaling...

I don’t think Rosenstein is correct. Mueller would have to go to Sessions because Sessions only recused himself from all things Russian. So, would seem to me Sessions would have a say over Mueller doing anything other than Russia.

Just like how comey had a very narrow window to investigate and was forced to ignore the tons of other uncovered stuff.
Just like that?
