Reminds me of the Dreamland BBQ motto - ain't nowhere nuthin’ like ‘em.

Everyone has their own Baltimore (B'mo?) Surprisingly, mine has become Madison WI, of late. When I last lived there, 22 years ago, there would be sometimes 1-2 homicides a year, but then several year runs of no homicides, and very few heroin overdose deaths. This year, they are up to 11 homicides, and the last overdose data was 75 fatalities in the five years ending in 2015.

I was a college classmate of the guy who is now police chief there. He was selected several years ago when the safe money was on a minority or lesbian candidate (he overcame the handicap of being white, male and straight to get the job.) He was at an age when most high ranking officers would have taken retirement and just laid back. Right now, I'm thinking he wishes he had. An epidemic of crime by hyper violent urban minorities and drug dealers has really rocked that city. Fighting crime there, in a delusional community that cannot recognize the fundamental problem, must be very frustrating.

But I wonder if any of them also back hard nosed policies that could actually make a difference. Do they consider cops their enemies? Are they against stop and search? Do they believe the hands up don’t shoot lies? Do they support BLM?

I took the pledge not to shoot anybody this weekend. And I kept my promise.

What happened?? Certain people didnt’ take the pledge, didn’t keep their promise not to kill anybody this weekend???

Black lives apparently didn’t matter to them

Tribal impulse is too strong.

Sadly, true. The feral uncivilized barbarians who do 99% of these shootings aren’t going to honor some pledge not to shoot anybody. Such promise lasts only until the next time somebody “disses” them, or until the next drug deal goes bad, and they need to respond with violence.

Maybe next week try an “Everyone please forgo murdering people, but if you cannot please try really hard to delay your murdering for 48 hours” slogan.

If that doesn’t work, they should try a petition. Go door to door through the city, and collect signatures and pledges. That should do the trick.

The mistake was printing it in cursive... ;)

Bad strategy.
First, a "kill Everybody that deserves it" weekend, followed by, let's nobody kill nobody day; but don't keep track.

That might work.

One thing for sure.

Let's forget the retarded "we'll pay you NOT to kill nobody day" and you'll be importing them by the hundreds from Alburquerque... Boston, Philly, Namibia...

Soros should be able to afford it.
What have we got to lose? Just killers, and people that need killin'.

The prevailing attitude at least among some:

“Hot damn I can do anything I want...they ain’t gonna shoot at me!”

If I lived in certain Eastern and Midwest cities, I would stay in bed Monday.
AFTER buying extra locks and ammo.

A sad commentary of our world—we have to have an agreement not to kill anyone for an entire weekend?

Not to brag, but I’ve managed to go nearly 57 years without killing anyone. But, in all honesty, I did not know that I could.

Detroit will not give up the crown without a gunfight.

Detroit Murder City

Detroit. Still #1 in Per Capita Murders.

But by Saturday, two men -- ages 24 and 37 -- were shot and killed in separate incidents just hours apart, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Only 2? That doesn't sound so bad, what's the usual weekend body count in Bal'mer? And to put it in perspective, since there's no mention of white male shooters, no dead niggahs murdered by racist cops, these presumably black lives don't matter.

So they may as well have said "don't shoot anybody that matters", so they could claim it was zero.
