The family of an 8-year-old transgender girl is suing the child’s private school for “intentional infliction of emotional distress,” among other charges, after the school allegedly refused to use her female name and pronoun and also barred her from using the girls’ restroom and from wearing a girls’ school uniform.

the comments on the Yahoo site give me some hope, that this world is NOT going to hell in a handbasket; that in spite of the media coverage of this sort of thing, that ordinary people DO NOT sign on to all this “transgender” stuff.
I scanned through the comments, and didn’t find a single one in favor of the parents action in filing the lawsuit. Many were pretty harsh towards the parents for allowing their boy to live the fantasy that he’s a girl.

At what point do we stop activist judging from “creating” law from the bench? I trust it is sooner than later.

The government bestowed special rights on blacks to sue. I can tell you from experience, this makes potential employers nervous. We won’t ever know how many potential jobs this has cost black applicants. Now, if the courts bestow special rights to transgender people, how will organizations react to transgender people in the future? Talk about your double-edged sword...but those who gain and those who suffer are different people. The former doesn’t care a wit about the ladder.

It is the child’s obsession - identity dysphoria manifest in an obsession they are not the gender they in fact are - is what causes the emotion distress. Asking everyone to join in the pretense their obsession is seeking to maintain is their abuse of the good sense of everyone else.
Early, strong, compassionate, consistent professional help understanding and getting rid of the obsession is the right thing to do. Entertaining it is not.
what about the emotional distress HE is causing girls in the school? Can the mentally healthy FEMALES sue the school for allowing a MALE that prete4nds to be a female to cause them emotional distress too?
Guess we’re just gonna sue public schools out of existence now huh?
