Trump backs McMaster as critics, White House rivals question Rice authorization
Fox News ^ | 08/05/2017 | Fox News

President Trump gave H.R. McMaster a vote of confidence after the national security adviser's rivals seized on a letter McMaster sent to his Obama predecessor Susan Rice giving her continued access to classified information.

McMaster's letter, which his supporters said was routine, was apparently leaked to imply that the Army lieutenant general was helping Trump's enemies. McMaster's feud with other powerful camps inside the White House has been well-documented, and a recent spate of firings by McMaster appears to have ratcheted up tensions. But Trump issued a statement late Friday supporting McMaster.

Puzzling. Perhaps waiting to ship him off to command troops in Afghanistan.

All of the attacks seem to be coming from those who are allied with LTG Flynn, who was fired for lying to Trump. I was glad when Trump appointed Flynn as his National Security Adviser and disappointed when I found out that Flynn has violated laws, that he should have known about, after he retired and took lucrative job offers. And that he lied to Trump, that was wrong and thus he signed his own firing orders.

I’m giving LTG McMaster the benefit of doubt and trusting President Trump’s judgement regarding him.

Does McMaster have something on Trump, such as other recorded
phone conversations? What else would prevent Trump from firing him?

The good guys, the ones who have no interest in removing Assad, worse relations with Russia and the new Cold War, having an open border, loving Islam and hating Israel?

I am no fan of Flynn. He was a loose cannon bound to go off sooner or later.

I am not willing to give McMaster the benefit of the doubt because he has not been vigorously defending POTUS publicly in the media. His silence speaks volumes, IMO.

Does Susan Rice hold any authoritative positions in this government? She has no NEED TO KNOW anything.

don’t know if any of the following is true- but this is what is being reported about McMasters- if it is true- it’s weird that trump is supporting him

“Ayaan Hirsi Ali was schedule to present a paper on radical Islamic terror at the National Security Counsel before being blocked by H.R. McMaster and his recently appointed Senior Director of Counter-Terrorism, Mustafa Javed Ali.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who was in town to present her work to the Senate, was also prohibited from visiting the President during her White House visit, where she was allowed to meet with select members of the NSC in an informal setting.

...

McMaster has refused to call out radical Islamic terrorism in the past, and tried to stop President Donald Trump from visiting the Western Wall in Israel.

McMaster fired several Jewish NSC members who are pro-Israel.

McMaster also recently fired brilliant military strategist Rich Higgins for publishing a memo criticizing radical Islamic terrorism.”

Flynn did not violate any laws. He LIED to Pence about a conversation. He was fired for LYING.

I don’t believe that President Trump has the faith in this guy as the media would like you to think...

President Trump putting him front and center, handing him the rope, stepping back and waiting for the hanging...

A lot of information has come out of McMaster and his beliefs, so I think I will just eat my unsalted chips, my pepsi max and wait for the rest of the show...

I question it.

Perfumed prince McMaster is not the be-all and end-all of this.

You'll pardon a guy who is allowing Susan Rice to continue to have access to top secret information, and who said that she did "nothing wrong"? How does he know Rice did nothing wrong? There was nothing wrong with unmasking all those people?

McMaster is the most dangerous person in the Trump administration. I hope Trump wakes up before McMaster helps Mueller find something, no matter how trivial, to indict him and bring the agenda to a grinding halt. It's the plan and no one, including our feckless AG, appear to be doing much of anything to stop it.

This vote of confidence, after all McMaster has done, tells me Trump must approve of it all. And that is troubling.

Our CINC could ‘pretend’ to let the Deep State ‘run’ everything by populating his cabinet with them, then when the Deep State coaches call plays and the players do what DJT’s *real* cabinet suggests, who can the Deep State coaches run crying to? Each other?

Saw a pic of MadDog at Andrews’ officer club last night; things seem to be ‘OK’ in the .mil command and control sector. I’d like to think a good chunk of the 194 flag officers zero fired have wide pipes into MadDog’s ears.
