Somerset Maugham’ story The Rain spelled it out 100 years ago. Men, sex, and propinquity. The married preacher trying to turn the beautiful South Pacific hooker to Religion. Spending hours alone with her.

Donald Trump underlined the ending of that story when he said that famous men on TV have women climbing all over them for sex.

Not many men can or even want to resist that.

Maybe. But strange thing is that my wife is the only woman on the planet who makes me get an erection.

I told her once that I could sit on the front row and an endless parade of "10s" could walk nekkid on the stage and I would think the same thoughts as watching the old television show "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" namely: 'That's really lovely and nice but I can't afford it.'

But, yeah, in my dreams I'd like to try.
