‘Germany in three days and France in one hour’ Shock threat to EU from Erdogan backers

WARMONGERING rhetoric is being spewed by Turkey towards Europe after a newspaper close to the Turkish regime declared the country could overrun Germany in three days.

Newspaper Yeni Söz, closely aligned to the government, made the outlandish claim on the front page of its daily newspaper.

Carrying the provocative headline "Turkey can occupy Europe within 3 days”, the move is the latest in a political spat between Ankara and Berlin.

Turkey has been vying to join the EU for more than a decade, with official negotiants to become a member dragging into their 12th year.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan attempted to use the migrant crisis as a bargaining chip, striking a deal with Brussels over the crisis in exchange for political sweeteners, which included kick-starting their membership bid.

The paper said: “Friedman said the Turks could defeat Germany in one afternoon and France in one hour, if they have the courage to fight.

“If you believe the international research institute Gallup, that asked people if they would fight for their country, then the Europeans have already taken out the white flags in the event of a war.

“Germany is abandoned by its citizens. If we start in the morning, we can have our evening prayer in Bellevue Castle.”

I’d bet on the Turkish army against the Germans. The French Foreign Legion might make that fight a bit more even.

Perhaps they should try. Who knows, perhaps they can.

NATO countries squabbling.
Not the United States’ problem.

Bet the Poles and the Czechs outlast you.

This might be true. But I suspect the radical Islamists will wait until they have more power in this country. Why take over European countries when they know we would fight them over there? They will want a stronger presence here so we would have to fight here, instead of saving Europe again.

Turkey will NEVER be allowed to join the EU. Unless Erdogan develops nukes and blackmails his way in.

Given the European suppliant attitude toward Moslems I suspect that claim could be true, perhaps not three days for Germany, but surely no more than ten and maybe Merkel would surrender preemptively or convert and invite the Saracens in.

Amusing. The Turks aren’t capable tying their shoelaces against the Kurds, much less the Bundeswehr.

I would suspect the US Army, Europe would be a big help too.

And every Muslim in Europe will back Turkey in a war.

Turkey invaded Cyprus in 1974, which was occupied by fellow NATO member Greece, and they didn’t do anything about it.

I would say that someone has jumped the gun, but I’m not convinced that Europe isn’t a lost cause.

These aren’t your grandfather’s Germans.

All of Western Europe have become wimpish surrender monkeys. They are letting the Muslims take over without offering any resistance.

I believe it has been over 70 years since the German Army fought a conventional land battle. Given that I’d wouldn’t automatically rate them above the Turks.

And the last time the Turks fought a land battle was against the Brits 90 years ago - and they lost.

I do not think the average German would risk him/her self defending their country, they have gotten soft by allowing the USA to do that for them.

After protecting them from the Soviets for all these decades they mock and ridicule us, poison our air by selling cars that put out more pollutants than allowed for American cars and then cheat to cover it up. Germany is NOT our ally and we should NOT defend them if another NATO nation attacks them. I give the Germans less than a week.
