Report: McCain Wants Congress to Pass ‘Gang of Eight’ Amnesty Bill When He Returns
Breitbart ^ | 08/03/2017 | by Tony Lee

According to The Arizona Republic, McCain, before leaving Washington to get cancer treatments in Arizona, reportedly spoke to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) about joining forces again to pass the “Gang of Eight” bill. After joining Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) to defeat the GOP’s “skinny repeal” of Obamacare, McCain, who has always wanted to be known as a straight-talking independent, was lionized by Democrats and the legacy media, with CNN paying homage to his “maverick moment.”

Referring to the “Gang of Eight” bill, McCain told the Republic on Thursday that he wanted “to reintroduce the same package that was passed through the United States Senate and never taken up in the House.”

“Immigration reform is one of the issues I’d like to see resolved,” McCain reportedly added. “I’ve got to talk to him (Schumer) about when would be the best time. I think there are all kinds of deals to be made out there. I really do.”

According to the Republic, McCain, “who turns 81 on Aug. 29,” is “in a more reflective place in his long Senate career as he faces” his “serious health challenge and undergoes chemotherapy.”

Any Republican who votes for a MaCain amnesty bill is dead monkey.. They are guaranteed to lose the next Republican primary. McCain himself will never win another GOP primary again.

FUJM.

This POS thinks he’s President. This behavior is unacceptable, and it’s disgusting that those vermin in Congress not only put up with him, but gave him a standing ovation.

What have you done for the Republicans lately, Juan? They owe you NOTHING and should know that handing you this parting gift would mean sure defeat for them in 2018. For your proud disloyalty, they ought to kick your wrinkled a** out the door.

McCain acts like he thinks he himself is the President, and simply ignores Trump.

I wish Trump would do something to get a grip on the legislative situation. He blusters a lot, but doesn’t seem to know how to put the screws to them and get them to cooperate. So he’s letting a tiny, tiny minority of GOPers and the Dems run the country and openly flout him.

Also, he needs to make better appointments. Bending over backwards (ala GWB) to show that he doesn’t pick only loyalists and to make himself acceptable to the GOPe didn’t work for Bush, and it won’t work for him. Heck, even Bush’s people were more loyal.

Sorry, John - you only get your agenda if you can be elected president - just get out of the way - our president is making a real difference, not just noise.

Yep. I think the democrats used sympathy for Kennedy to pass obamacare, now the democrats will use sympathy for McCain to try and pass amnesty.

Yes, F*** the rest of the country, I want to feel good about myself so I’ll make common cause with the devil.

"I think there are all kinds of deals to be made out there. I really do.”

So do I - all kinds of terrible deals that are bad for the nation. And with unprincipled Big Government hacks like McCain in office, those deals will be made.

Traitor - if he ever was a Real Republican which I very much doubt.

After his smack in the face of McConnells leadership and the GOP he should’ve been stripped of his committee chairs and pulled out of funding. its obvious McCain holds some sort of political power or sway (maybe taking Graham with him to the DNC)

At this point though - I’d say expel McCain outright and let him caucus with the DNC.

It’s clear now that the man has a diseased brain. The media should be ashamed of themselves for making fun of him like this.

Sounds like he wants to do as much damage to the US that he can before he goes.

The Democrats even enlist a dying man in their obstruction, and he willingly plays along as the neverTrump he is.

after making his statement on “making my own afghan policy” earlier this week, and now trying to perform CPR on the gang of 8 amnesty bill, it seems ol mac sees himself as POTUS.

For a guy who is eighty....doing the treatment...I’d say there is virtually zero chance of him showing up for the remainder of 2017. If he does...it’ll be a 15-minute show, and they will wheel him in for applause, and then wheel him to his office where he’ll just sit for two hours a day. My guess is that by January of 2018...he won’t be seen much around the office, and just resting at home until he passes on.
