Beaumont is the murder capital of Texas per capita.
They are doing this in cities in Texas? Wow, we are in trouble.
“Complete anonymity is the basis for the gun submission. No names are written, spoken, or exchanged.”
Multiple felonies.

Typical liberal plan.
Never has worked.
Never will.
“...evidence destroyed...”
BleachBullet.
$300 worth of gift certificates at Mom’s bookstore, candle shop and consignment sales for a $30,000 full auto “assault weapon”?
I don’t think so Tim.
Face-palm worthy attempts by local government.

Novel idea, I know.
Time to set up an alternative purchase table outside the venue and offer cash. Totally legal in TX for individual purchase.

In Tucson one time gun buyers set up a table across the street; offered more and bought a lot of good guns.
One cannot fix stupid
If it’s unrepairable and not collectable this is a good deal, otherwise it’s just for mothers and grandmothers who “find” objectionable items in their home.
The police know what a stupid idea this is, I don’t know why they always seem to go along with it.
As for the objectionable items, if they can find it you deserve to lose it.
Giving up a firearm to a buyback program to curb violence is like having yourself castrated to prevent the neighbors from having too many kids.
