There's an Italian cop show called "Inspector Montalbano".
In an epi, Montalbano stops one of the senior cops in the hall, and asks if he knows Latin:
Cop: "Latin? Sure."
Montalbano: "Can you translate this?"
Cop: "Oh the language. I though you were asking about my accountant, Mr. Latin..."

I think the guy misspoke and he really meant to call those folk Hispanics, who everyone knows come Hispania!
With the help of CommonCore, one can easily find the country of Hispania.
It's right next to Ebonia, whose people speak Ebonics!
