I’ll take door number 3: McMaster seeks to undermine and weaken POTUS so much that the GOPe can seize control of the beltway agenda. “We know better” basically. All these rumors of the insulting way even GOPers speak about POTUS behind he his back point in this direction, IMO.

This is a fox in the hen house. This is no ploy. McMaster is purging his staff of Trump loyalists AND giving cover to obama's people. He needs to be gone!
Note: when McMasters was appointed, Bill Kristol, Lindsey Graham, and others of their I’ll lept for joy as is recorded in the press.
I have never forgotten who was overjoyed at McMasters’s appointment, as it should inform greatly on just who McMasters is.
