Billionaires don’t take vacations. They don’t “get away” from work.
But when Presidents go places, it’s a major inconvenience to everyone there.

Darlene Superville of Ass Press doesn’t realize DJT will get more done on vacation than Hussein did in 8 years.

Someone better vet each and every repairman coming and going and have an hourly sweep for bugs.

Wish he’d go to Camp David so Barron could have some friends over and they could do boy stuff.

They better re-search the place for hidden mikes and cameras before POTUS settles back in to the WH.

I am pretty sure he’s not going to spend 17 days in NJ, just sleeping in and golfing. He will be working.

The president’s vacation could be driven, in part, by necessity.

Here is the meat of the story, buried as usual.

Nobody goes on vacation to Bedminster, NJ — and certainly not for 18 days. The Trump family is simply relocating their residence for three weeks.

...” so that the government can replace the balky, 27-year-old heating and cooling system.”

This mean getting rid of the bugging devices left behind by Barry and Val.

Probably also doing a sweep to clean out any bugs.

17 days, how quaint.
I am taking my family on a 21 day beach vacation (not counting the return day).

All this talk of Trump "taking a vacation" makes me laugh.

As a mid-level executive in a large corporation, who is probably 100 levels below the stratosphere that Donald Trump has occupied for decades now, I can honestly tell you that there is no such thing as a "real" vacation.

Case in point, a couple weeks ago I went down to the Outer Banks for a "vacation". Had my cellphone with me and my work laptop. During that week, I had no less than a dozen conference calls and I responded to no less than thirty or forty emails a day. While I did get some beach time in and some much needed downtime, I was still putting in several hours a day for the job.

Maybe it was once possible for executives to get a real vacation but technology ensures that the job is always with you. It's been many years since I took a vacation and truly "got away from it all" - that was before cellphones, before Wi-Fi that provided 24/7 high bandwidth internet access and before even email.

I'm not complaining at all however. It goes with the territory and I'm well paid for it. And there's also a flip side. Because I can be always available, it is much easier for me to get away from the office and work at home or in a coffee shop just as easily as sitting at my office. In fact, my ability to respond to this post in the middle of a work day is an example of that "freedom" from the 9-5 world. In exchange for that freedom and the "blurring" of work and play, you make yourself available 24/7 and you find a way to get your job done no matter where you are and what time it is.

So whether President Trump is sitting in the Oval Office, at his golf club in Jersey or even sitting on a beach in Hawaii someplace, you can be assured that he is on the job. Is Trump even a beach person? I don't think I've ever seen him on a beach.

The president’s vacation could be driven, in part, by necessity. Everyone who works in the White House West Wing, including the Oval Office occupant himself, will be forced to clear out by week’s end so that the government can replace the balky, 27-year-old heating and cooling system.

Hope someone from Team Trump sticks around to supervise the replacing of the balky HVAC system.
