“Well I am starting the recumbent bike soon.”
I’ve lost 45 lbs so far, and I can thank Mrs. VanShuyten for getting the combo step walker/recumbent bike. She does the step walker, and I do the bike, which is a lot easier on my knees and bad hip. I do 15 min in the morning at medium resistance (now, after a year) while lifting light weights, plus another 5 minutes of wind sprints. I do an hour at low resistance at night after everything else is finished. Riding the bike allows me to read, watch TV, or play games at the same time, so it doesn’t get too tedious. When I first started, I reset my metabolism by strictly reducing carbs, and started losing weight fairly quickly. I then plateaued out at about -40 lbs for several months. Some of that was adding more muscle mass, and some of it was starting to eat more snacks. Now I’m slowly starting to lose again, and my morning blood sugar is just about normal. Another 10 lbs, and I’ll be happy, although I’m already pretty happy that I can wear all that stuff that’s been in the corner of the closet for the last 15 years.
Keep spinning and good luck!
I will. I am not wearing old clothes, I am doing some focused buying of clothes so I can look good and feel happy. I actually flirted the other day.
