"Were talking about the country of India not our Native American ancestors."
Native Americans didn't farm. And they're better described as 'aboriginal Americans', since that specifically refers to indigenous inhabitants before the age of European colonization. I'm a native American in the sense that I was born here. But like everyone living here, the ancestors of aboriginal Americans migrated here at some point in history, only theirs did a 10 or 20 thousand years before mine.

Native Americans didn't farm.
Somebody wasn't paying attention in grade school when the story of the Pilgrims being taught to grow corn by the Indians was told. Over and over and over again.

"Although some indigenous peoples of the Americas were traditionally hunter-gatherersand many, especially in the Amazon basin, still aremany groups practiced aquaculture and agriculture. The impact of their agricultural endowment to the world is a testament to their time and work in reshaping and cultivating the flora indigenous to the Americas.[36] Although some societies depended heavily on agriculture, others practiced a mix of farming, hunting, and gathering.
