wo people are unaccounted for and five were hospitalized Wednesday after an explosion believed to be caused by a gas leak leveled part of a Minnesota school building, emergency authorities said.
Minneapolis Fire crews are "extinguishing fire, searching for victims and extricating" at Minnehaha Academy, a pre-K to 12th grade Christian school in the city. All of the injured people are adults, with one in critical condition.
The fire department originally tweeted a fatality has been reported, but around 15 minutes later said it has not been confirmed. Later details said two people were missing and one they were searching for was found uninjured.
Chemistry was my favorite class. Must have been the risk factor.

A gas leak and nobody smelled anything?
The mercaptan they put in natural gas has an odor all its own and cannot be mistaken for anything else and it does not take much to notice it.
I suppose a gas leak is a better theory than a trial run for a terror attack.

Someone in our HS class ran a tube from the gas jet into a sink full of water and turned on the gas. Of course it bubbled up then he stuck a lit match over the water. I guess he thought the water would clean the gas.

As a gas man for 40 years, I can confirm that an underground leak may not smell of odorant, especially if it travels through wet soil or a fair amount of concrete. Also, odor-fade can occur in long runs of plastic piping.

He didn’t get burned, he had his hand on the gas lever and the hose and turned it off quick.
It was interesting, because they formed god sized bubbles that would break the surface then ignite and then ignite the subsequent bubbles. It stirred up the water quite a bit.
The people of Minnesota are getting what they asked for.

When such a horrifying tragedy does occur, they will see it only through the murk of their delusions.
They'll blame it on "global warming" or "Hillary's defeat" or some such nonsense, but they will never be able to grasp the truth--mainly because they have only contempt for TRUTH. That is the fundamental evil beneath their delusions.
Thank goodness! I had heard that it was a weather balloon.
