President Donald Trump on Saturday threatened to end bailouts for members of Congress and insurance companies if lawmakers don't pass a new health care bill in the near future.
If a new HealthCare Bill is not approved quickly, BAILOUTS for Insurance Companies and BAILOUTS for Members of Congress will end very soon, Trump tweeted.
Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) said Trumps warning is a clear threat to take away health care from members of Congress and their staff.
Murphy then asserted that the president does have the power to cut off health care for leg branch employees & crater exchanges. He then added, I would argue this is a very serious moment.

“Leading conservative commentator Charles Dr. Death Krauthammer is also opposed to Trump cutting off Congressional health care subsidies.”
I’m all for it. Trump should get a bunch of fake doctors in lab coats, put them on stage with him and announce to congress that they can keep their doctor if they want to and in addition they will all get 2500 bucks back in savings.
Let the rats complain about it.
I’m not worried for the congress critters, after all they have made themselves filthy rich off the government teat and can afford the $7500 deductible (a drop in the bucket for these sleazy bastards). Who will really hurt are their staff members who are probably just as sleazy but certainly not as rich. They will give their bosses some heat for sure; so for that reason we just might get something done here if Trump follows through.
President Trump is toying with them like a cat toys with a prey for awhile. If no healthcare bill is reached before their precious summer recess then as they are fleeing he will pounce and tear out their exemptions. The Lion Trumps the dirty hyenas.
LOL! I'm amazed this RAT can at least half comprehend what Trump is doing. That's rare in the party of the brain dead and the trough feeders.
Darth Krauthammer is unhinged as of late.
One day he says something cogent, the next he’s scowling into the camera just like Brit as if anyone cares what he’s thinking.
Fruedian Slip of the year.
From what I read, there are more people in favor of taking away the “gift” that was given to themselves (by themselves) than allowing them to keep that “gift”.
My vote is for Trump to DO IT!!!!!!!!!!! If my employees decided to provide themselves something they did not EARN, and without my permission, things would change and change quickly. Like I said Mr. President, DO IT!!!!!
Democrats never ever thought there would be a non Democrat President so they though they had this covered.
Suck it Dems !
Let’s add federal judges and their staff too.
People need to understand-—
This isn’t JUST health care for the 435 members of Congress-—
It is health care for each & every STAFF member & their families—WELL OVER 2000 more than Congress itself.
ALSO- The health care they enjoy is NOT OBAMACARE....it is a CADILLAC plan that the taxpayers are paying for.
This is another example of the politicians getting more than what the public gets-—at the taxpayers expense.
They just have to pay for it - like their constituents do”””
Not entirely true-—
They currently DO NOT have Obamacare—
They have a much more comprehensive plan—and we are paying for it.
WHAT’S SAUCE FOR THE GOOSE IS GRAVY FOR THE GANDER.
Let Congress live under the Obamacare they have imposed on the rest of us and see how they like it.
Murphy is such a self-interested loser..like all of these congressbums. Kick them OUT!
I believe he also has the authority to kep them in session until they do something. Hope he makes this a double whammy “shock and awe”... remove their subsidy AND keep them in session. They can thank Traitor John.
Trump should make good on his threat to let Obamacare implode. Not one GOP vote was cast for it...let the Democrats own it in its utter failure
I’d love to see RBG and Kennedy have to rely on Obozocare to get treatment...
Trump threatened to end bailoutsand stated it’s nothing personal it’s just business.
