It bothers me that not just Congress gets this special treatment on health insurance, but that their staffers do, as well. Who elected them?
Lots of other Obama favored groups got exemption and other favors also. President Trump should kill those too. The best way to get rid of this quickly is to enforce the law strictly.
The staffers are actually the key. They is Congress’ lifeblood. Putting them on Obamacare would make the position very unattractive and cause significant departures. You would see Congress act realty fast (for that matter any democrat tech staffers who don’t leave are probably double dipping spies.)
It also bothers me that the congress critters’ subsidies weren’t reviked on Jan. 22nd. And their staffs’ as well.
