When I lived n Alabama back in the 1980's/1990's I saw the beginning of the move to change registration from a Democrat to a Republican for many elected representatives. Jeff Sessions may very well fall into this category formerly being a Southern Democrat as opposed to a North Eastern Communist like the Kennedy klan.
I also have seen the same change of registration in Texas starting in the late 1990's through today.
The Texas House majority leader is in essence a Democrat. Why Texas "Republican" House members vote to elect Joe Strauss as the Speaker of the Texas House is a real problem. Old Joe continues to appoint DEMOCRATS to lead a number of Texas State House committees.
To summarize - Primaries appear our only options to remove the rot we currently have in various elected offices.

I think labeling Kamala Harris black is because she has the same genetic tendency Barry Obama has; she only looks like her black parent. And the media's audience has not indicated it likes Asians, so emphasizing that she is (partially) "black" is to their advantage.
The only way the media would ignore that she is (partially) black is if she robbed a convenience store, then the description would probably include the word "youth" but no color at all.

Conway says that's a personnel question, up to the president to address. She talks about the work Sessions is doing. Wallace repeats the question about moving Sessions to DHS. Conway says Trump is so frustrated by the recusal, and so much goes by the DOJ. And to the Russia issue, now this week the press is slinking away from the Russia collusion accusation, why is that? Conway talks about the silliness ot the Senate 60 vote. Wallace reports that rule isn't going to change.
Does Trump intend to cut off cost sharing reductions? Congress has sued that these payments are not allowed. Trump has not decided what to do on that, says Conway. Conway points out that Congress has exempted itself, and the people want Congress to live under the same laws the people are subjected to.
