It's chronic. It's not accidental.
After firing Comey, in the Holt interview, Trump said he wanted the Russia investigation to continue, and if he had any disappointment, it was that firing Comey would result in it taking longer to complete the investigation. Those remarks or sentiments aren't inferred from the interview, Trump expressed it, directly.
The press says the Holt interview stands for the proposition that Trump told Holt he fired Comey to spike the investigation. That angle was then adopted by Congress.
People are funny like that. Powerful people have the biggest cases of confirmation bias out there, and the press is delighted to be part of that.
Think Pelosi will wear her lavender dress and bring the big gavel? Will Stenny and Lewis hold hands again?
Why is nobody interviewing the girlfriend? If he were a mole and angry about Hilary stealing the election she supposedly knew. When he was killed she explained the vote shifting scheme Hillary did and how she stole PA and MD. Where is she?
......
They were fired in February. All except Awan, that is. He continued in the employ of Wasserman Schultz, the Florida Democrat, former DNC chairwoman, and Clinton crony. She kept him in place at the United States Congress right up until he was nabbed at the airport on Monday.
This is not about bank fraud. The Awan family swindles are plentiful, but they are just window-dressing. This appears to be a real conspiracy, aimed at undermining American national security.
At the time of his arrest, the 37-year-old Imran Awan had been working for Democrats as an information technologist for 13 years.
He started out with Representative Gregory Meeks (D., N.Y.) in 2004. The next year, he landed on the staff of Wasserman Schultz, who had just been elected to the House.
Congressional-staff salaries are modest, in the $40,000 range. For some reason, Awan was paid about four times as much. He also managed to get his wife, Alvi, on the House payroll . . . then his brother, Abid Awan . . . then Abids wife, Natalia Sova. The youngest of the clan, Awans brother Jamal, came on board in 2014 the then-20-year-old commanding an annual salary of $160,000.
A few of these arrangements appear to have been sinecures: While some Awans were rarely seen around the office, we now know they were engaged in extensive financial shenanigans away from the Capitol.
Nevertheless, the Daily Callers Luke Rosiak, who has been all over this story, reports that, for their IT work, the Pakistani family has reeled in $4 million from U.S. taxpayers since 2009. Thats just the legit dough.
The family business evidently dabbles in procurement fraud, too. The Capitol Police and FBI are exploring widespread double-billing for computers, other communication devices, and related equipment. Why were they paid so much for doing so little? Intriguing as it is, thats a side issue.
A more pressing question is: Why were they given access to highly sensitive government information? Ordinarily, that requires a security clearance, awarded only after a background check that peruses ties to foreign countries, associations with unsavory characters, and vulnerability to blackmail.
These characters could not possibly have qualified. Never mind access; its hard to fathom how they retained their jobs. The Daily Caller has also discovered that the family, which controlled several properties, was involved in various suspicious mortgage transfers. Abid Awan, while working full-time in Congress, ran a curious auto-retail business called Cars International A (yes, CIA), through which he was accused of stealing money and merchandise.
In 2012, he discharged debts in bankruptcy (while scheming to keep his real-estate holdings). Congressional Democrats hired Abid despite his drunk-driving conviction a month before he started at the House, and they retained him despite his public-drunkenness arrest a month after.
Beyond that, he and Imran both committed sundry vehicular offenses. In civil lawsuits, they are accused of life-insurance fraud.

That's not the only way to kill Mueller's witch hunt. I'm speculating we'll see some action against Mueller in the next week to three. Timing depends on what else hits for news, and what Mueller's army pokes its nose into. But at some point, a spotlight is going to swing over to Rosenstein and Mueller.
I try and do it by voice but the errrors are alwasy there. It’s tough to Freep by phone I know.
FR seems to be holding up pretty well today.
Cornel Belcher is stylin today! Says ACA has never been MORE POPULAR LOL
I doubt they ever will, too tough.
The script that our policy makers are taught is "global interdependence" and a bunch of rot around that supposedly egalitarian ideal. Toss in the moneyed rent-seekers, and not only is energy policy skewed against US interests, so is manufacturing and tax policy.
Our leaders have been intentionally exporting American wealth, in order to "level the world" in terms of capability, living conditions, opportunity, "freedom," etc. Spread the wealth and spread the misery so no place on earth is any better or worse than any other.
FARA is there for show. It is not meant to be enforced.
Excellent post!
Well worth the time to read.
As a long timer in Alabama, you are right BUT...
Those long ago former democrats who switched to Republican back in the 80s are/were VERY conservative. Very religious, also. Remember, back in those days, the democrats weren’t yet monolithically communist, like today. And same goes to the Republicans. Nixon, Rockefeller, Ford, Riker, etc., all moderate to liberal.
I don’t count the Southern former dems turned Republicans as RINOs at all—at least most of them.
Sessions was always on the RIGHT side of things, both politically, morally and correct-wise.
I don’t know what happened, but the full out attack by the intelligence agencies led by Brennan, Clapper and Senators McCain and Burr and of course Comey at the FBI had a big impact on Sessions. He caved to the Deep State pressure. That’s all I can see. He wasn’t one of them, but their target. Take him out and they could get Trump. That I think is what Donald thinks.
Much as I love Jeff and his stand on things, as my senator, I wish he had never left.
Obviously, the one charged with bank fraud does not have immunity.
Will anyone speak to Trumps victorious rally in Youngstown Ohio?
That IS the Heartland.
Love you Buddy, but please don't include me in "our side" if you're talking about the GOP. I do not belong to ANY political party criminal organization.
HuffPo is not a reliable source. Fake news as such. Sure, a blind pig finds an acorn now and then, but ALWAYS consider WHY they post certain stories...
There’s usually a reason that is detrimental to our side and meant to help the democrats.
