I’ve never believed rumors about Priebus being a leaker, but quite likely his staff was, and as we are learning he did not exert the needed kind of discipline and control. Wrong man for the job, but not necessarily a bad man.
Great, believable comment. But is Scaramucci the right guy in his job? There is honest and outspoken and there is rude, abrasive and nasty.
As soon as Trump won the primary Priebus was in his corner. He was one of his staunchest supporters on the talk shows. He is a party man. He was going to be loyal to whomever won. He’s probably been loyal while working for Trump It just seems like he’s that type of guy.
I think the problems came about because he’s also a squishy Republican. I can see him trying to ‘temper’ Trump on his opinions. Doesn’t make him a bad guy. Sometimes employers and employees come to a unanimous decision that someone just doesn’t ‘fit’ the job they have.
I expect him to still be loyal and not bad mouth Trump. He’s a party man.
