They weren’t hired in spite of the fact they were scumbags, they were hired specifically because they are scum bags.

why were they paid so highly?

Because their primary job was partisan spying, not fixing broken computers and maintaining the router.

this is basically a return to Watergate, but the modern liberal version, in which the Awan Brothers function as CREEP or as the Watergate burglars.

If you think about it, in AwanGate Debbie Wasserman Schultz was simply following the example laid out by Hillary, who set up her own pop up CIA in order to topple Gaddafi in Libya, leaving the post-war spoils to her business friends and contributors.

Hillary charted the course.

-- Because their primary job was partisan spying ... --

I think their primary job was international espionage, and a few DEMs were in on it.

“why were they paid so highly?”

One of the Pakistani brothers was 20 years old and was being paid more than 140k a year for an IT job that usually paid 40k.

"Because their primary job was partisan spying, not fixing broken computers and maintaining the router."

That seems possible, bordering on probable. Another angle is that the brothers were possibly diverting sensitive information to hostile foreign governments and/or The Muslim Brotherhood, with or without the knowledge of their Democratic employers.

Look at the congress reps they were working for,Muslim sympathizers.
This is a dynamite story,no wonder the media is silent on it,probably waiting for the principles to disappear before they touch it so they can deep six it.
Gets mentioned in passing on Fox and friends this morning no questions, how about the guy Awan gets stopped at the airport has 12 grand in cash,it’s said bank fraud is the reason. That’s it end of story but no mention that the wife is stopped at the airport months ago with 12,400 in cash is allowed to get on the plane and take off.
This is one hell of a story that everyone seems terrified of touching,WHY?

This looks to be much bigger than Watergate. These guys are foreign nationals with possible ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2017/07/28/shaffer_evidence_that_wasserman_schultz_used_pakistani_imran_awan_for_malevolent_activities_against_bernie_sanders.html

Spying on and disrupting the opposition and spying for Pakistan or ISIS or other Mussulman entities. And Debbie W and the DNC were surely complicit in all of that. All of the just plain theft was just a necessary cost of getting the job done. They have an ideological agenda served by that sort of spying for a foreign and inimical power and they will take money from anywhere. I am sure the Democrats and especially DWS are considerably wealthier now by virtue of these activities than they were before.
