Some would have said the same of America under Obama. We shouldn’t give up on the Venezuelans yet. The “idea” of socialism has now met the REALITY of socialism for them, perhaps they’ll learn.

Maduro isn’t going to leave office other than in a box. What needs to be imported to Venezuela now are crates of ak-47s and ammunition so the people will have a fighting chance against the government thugs and military.

unlikely though since top military officials and their friends and families receive most of the factories, land and goods stolen by the government, as well as plenty of the scarce foods, medicines, and goods necessary for reasonable daily living.
my guess is that any revolt is going to have to originate from the lowest ranks since the average peon soldier each probably has MANY friends and family starving to death. In other words, this is likely to end in civil war with one faction of the military fighting another faction. The only question is if the collapse at the bottom is sufficient to succeed and how high up the office ranks the collapse spreads to.
