Good point... We are a minute player in this vast universe of unknowable phenomena and random chance and if, or when if you prefer, some oversized planet destroying object comes in our direction our only hope will be divine intervention or no hope at all... It will come, and it will destroy us because we are not the authors of our fate within this universe. The Creator, or random chance if you prefer heathenism, will determine our continued existence... Not us.
