A very quick look at his twitter feed shows him praising Jeff Sessions for getting tough on sentencing laws and bashing Obama for being weak on crime.
Of course that could all be posing to keep his job. Blood is thicker than water sometimes.

The US Attorneys work for the Attorney General. If this is true Sessions must remove Wasserman from the investigation immediately. It's a no-brainer. When there is a conflict of interest, people need to recuse themselves or otherwise step aside. Sessions should just make sure that this happens.
