Dennis Prager’s Aug. 16 guest conductor gig is being protested. An online petition created by some members of the symphony in question wants us to avoid the concert. Attending would “normalize” the kind of bigotry Prager espouses.

That said, I personally see this as news, not usually visiting “Bloggers and Personal”.
Prager has been announcing this for some time on his radio program. If the left is attempting to railroad him out of a public forum where he wants to share his love for Haydn and classical music, that’s news enough for me.

You will discover a mouse click away that Scientologists are a pretty conservative lot. Old L. Ron wrote that homosexuality is a psychological aberration. And they are very anti-drug, founders of Narconon. Their teachings revolve around taking personal responsibility for ALL their actions, no liberal cop outs. Their method of “Clearing” is designed to free humans from reactive knee jerk thinking and make all decisions considered and rational. The full title of the founding book is “Scientology: The Modern Science of Mental Health”. So stop knee jerking already. :)
Well Islam doesn’t agree with Homosexuality and would be considered ‘conservative’ according to their standards. So what Scientology calls their standards,no matter how conservative, does not disqualify them from being a ‘dangerous’ cult.....which they are.

His buddy Hugh Hewitt has a thirty minute show on Manbc. Didn’t know Dennis did PragerU till recently. Just knew of his radio show. But hardly heard it. Don’t know enough about him.
Actually, Scientology types were about the only ones willing to accurately report the news, via the Washington times, for decades. So, for conservatives, it was our source in college...which then gave them a hook into many of us (but thankfully not me)...and yes, they are dangerous, very dangerous, as a cult.
But as a news source, they were great.
Prager a bigot? Prager? I get it. He actually has thoughts and ideas that are not in line with leftist fascists. Or, more like it, he actually has thoughts and ideas. That’s a problem in itself.
He should conduct, and let the bastards protest. I can’t see him backing down, and I hope that orchestra doesn’t either.
Wasn’t the Washington Times owned by Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s Unification Church? It certainly wasn’t the Scientologists. Buy yes, it was a darned good paper.
