How the Justice Dept. is forcing sanctuary cities to cooperate with immigration agents

The Justice Department issued a new warning to sanctuary cities Tuesday, saying they must prove they fully cooperate with immigration agents in order to claim federal law enforcement grant money.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said jurisdictions that don’t allow federal agents into their prisons and jails, and that refuse to give at least 48 hours’ notice before releasing illegal immigrants, will lose money.

“This is what the American people should be able to expect from their cities and states, and these long overdue requirements will help us take down MS-13 and other violent transnational gangs, and make our country safer,” he said.

There should be criminal penalties of some sort against the mayors, for obstructing an investigation perhaps.

They should lose access to federal law enforcement databases, etc.

Arrest these traitorous city officials on charges of sedition and insurrection and make them do a televised perp walk into a federal holding tank. Their lawyers might eventually get them released, but they will get tired of doing that every time these city officials (including the police chief) flout the law.

Looking forward to this happening. But it doesn’t go far enough. Those sanctuary cities that refuse and someone is hurt or killed due to a released illegal should have criminal charges levied on the police chief and the mayor.

If AG Sessions is forced to resign and gets replaced by a liberal, pro-amnesty a-hole like Giuliani or Christie, we can say goodbye to this and all other measures to curb illegal immigration by the Justice Department. If anything, they would find a way to reward sanctuary cities.

Amazing, how hard it is for some Freepers to ever give credit to Sessions, Trump, and other people doing their job as per the law!

“If AG Sessions is forced to resign and gets replaced by a liberal, pro-amnesty a-hole like Giuliani or Christie, we can say goodbye to this and all other measures to curb illegal immigration by the Justice Department. If anything, they would find a way to reward sanctuary cities.”

Maybe this will happen instead:

The Swamp Twister Game*

Trump paints Sessions as ineffective while in reality Sessions has been diligently building towards a set of indictments starting with Awan and the Dems associated with him. Takes their eyes off the ball and maybe even goads them into publicly defending the very guy who’s about to take them down. Also a big FU to the NYT by using them as a tool to trick the dems. He feeds them obvious BS showing they are beneath his contempt.

If things play out according to this angle it will be truly delicious.

During and after the verbal abuse of Sessions by Trump. The left begins to love and protect Sessions including the Mediots. The GOPe gives Session their support and condemn Trump:

This allows Sessions to go on a unforeseen raiding/scalping party. Jeff fires Mueller and his left wing lawyers Then, he fires any remaining liberals in the FBI and DOJ. Next he brings charges against the Clintons, Podesta and DNC leaders claiming they were in bed with Mexico, Russia and the Ukrainians and led/allowed meddling in last year’s election. Then, Jeff goes after the ChiComs for meddling in our 2016 elections.

Next, he can start withholding federal $’s from any sanctuary city and state. (1)

While the mediots and the Deep Staters go ballistic, Trump can say that Sessions acted on his own, but it was too late to reverse what he had done.

He will then say that Sessions will remain as AG until his replacement is approved quickly by the Senate.

Now, Trump can pick another AG to replace Sessions. His big club will be, “Approve my AG replacement or I will leave Sessions in charge! If that happens, none of you will be around in a year. He will investigate all of you. ‘You all know’ that Sessions is a bona fide crazy conservative from the Deep South. He hates all of you. So quickly approve my new AG!”

After President Trump’s replacement AG is approved by the Senate. Sessions retires and goes home to write his personal novel “I was an Attorney General”

Year later when Pence is president, Sessions releases that book telling, how he and Trump conned the Senate and the mediots into allowing/abetting Sessions to drain the swamp.

*Thanks to reformedliberal for this title: The Swamp Twister Game*!

They don’t care. They don’t want Sessions to do his job.

Why not is the question?

A lot of them seem too far gone to bother with facts. If anyone seriously believes that Rudy Giuliani would do more for conservative causes than Jeff Sessions, no amount of information could possibly influence their "thinking" (such as it is).

I hope you’re right, but it seems like wishful thinking. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Unless Sessions is replaced by someone as committed to enforcing our border laws as he is (which isn’t likely to happen, given some of the names that are being floated), I want him to stay right where he is.

Agreed. It’s disturbing, the lack of critican thinking and analysis on FR these days, especially compared to the amount of anti-Trump bleating and repeating of memes and poorly sourced stories from blog sites. No wonder Freepathons take forever.

Off topic, but just heard on Fox News that the Senate panel that did NOT have Manafort or Kushner show up today is looking into the fact that Sidney Blumenthal made the same mistake they did while working on a campaign, but never had to face being investigated for it.
Very interesting!

You guys can KMA with your battered conservative syndrome. I will continue to ride Jeff Sessions like a rented mule until such time that I know he has empaneled federal grand juries to investigate and bring charges for:

1. the Clinton Foundation
2. Hillary's emails
3. Vote fraud in Broward and other counties
4. The Imran brothers
5. Ukraine influence in our election
6. Seth Rich murder

Until I have good reason to believe these things are happening I will continue to agitate to relieve Mr. Sessions of his duties. If these items have not been initiated at all he should absolutely be fired immediately. There is nothing in the law to prevent these projects from being initiated. If they haven't been initiated it is just evidence that he is not the man for the job, does not want to make America great again, and is indeed a swamp dweller himself in disguise.

Put up or GTFO.
