Did Comey meet 1 on 1 with Trump to reveal DD in order to intimidate Trump?

No, not to intimidate him. Just to have the meeting, and create a new fact, the fact of the meeting over the dirty dossier.
Then Comey leaks news of the meeting and the existence of the DD to the NYTs. The “fact of the meeting” between the DFBI and POTUS over the mysterious (pre-Buzzfeed total release) dirty dossier was deemed news-worthy. The NYT and all other media covered it.
This was an opening move in springing the Deep State Coup Trap. Another key move was the next DFBI - POTUS meeting where Flynn was discussed. Comey also leaked this meeting, later, and was fired, setting up (per intention) the appointment of Special Counsel Mueller—another corner of the trap.
