WASHINGTON - President Donald Trump is getting a bitter Washington lesson when he messes with Jeff Sessions you don't pick a fight with one of the Senate's guys.
It's a lesson that could cost him politically in a Senate where he badly needs Republican support for his lengthy agenda, starting with healthcare on Tuesday.
"I dont understand it. Theres no more honorable person Ive ever met in my life than Jeff Sessions, said Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., a close friend of Sessions and his wife. The only person who is more upset with Trump about this than me, is my wife.
Sessions spent 20 years in the Senate, winning a reputation for affability and party loyalty. He understood and doggedly practiced the code of what's been called the world's most exclusive club: You can disagree without being disagreeable, but you protect the institution and its members.
Trump, clearly, doesnt play by those rules.

Not one.
And they know it.
Trump's political capital should be directed at Republicans henceforth. It's time for war.
Delays on appointments? Call out McConnell by name. Budget, healthcare, taxes?
Go into their districts and call them out by name. SAY: They do not deserve reelection unless they support xyz.
“winning a reputation for affability and party loyalty”
Not what we need.
“President Donald Trump is getting a bitter Washington lesson...”
Stopped reading right there.
The only individuals being schooled are the DC establishment.
Awww. Far be it for Trump to upset the do-nothing Senators. Poor babies.
As I have said on other threads: Jeff is now a bargaining chip.
This story has it backwards: The story says Trump must be nice to Jeff so that the Senate is nice to Trump.
I think it is more accurate to say: The Senate must be nice to the President so that the President will be nice to Jeff.
The Senate needs to support the president. How hard is that?
That’s the problem. Sessions is no longer in the Senate. He needs to act like it.
I am a fan of Sessions, but I am absolutely certain he let the president down with the recusal.
If he actually did have conversations that required a recusal, contrary to his testimony, then Trump would actually be doing him a favor by firing him and removing him from legal jeopardy.
The enemies, of course, would want a compromised, blackmailable AG to remain in that office.
Non-substantive comment. The GOP is about POLITICS, not America.
As you say, "It's time for war"!!!
Replace the bums with non-politicians who will fight for the recovery of our Free Constitutional Republic.
The Senators are cowards. Trump knows it. We all know it. The Democrats know it.
They will do nothing.
Why do you think Kid Rock might possibly win in Michigan. Americans have had it with these traitors in DC.
RINOs whine just as much or more than demonrats.
Excellent point.
They are cowards when it comes to dealing with Democrats- they are vicious when it comes to eating their own
” You can disagree without being disagreeable, but you protect the institution and its members.”
That is what is wrong with the most useless Senate in the history of this country Senator Inholf. Name one Senator that has accomplished one thing in his/her time in the Senate that has benefited this country.
Being honorable is just part of the job but then who would expect a Senator to know that.
Most Republican Representatives and Senators ran ahead of Trump in 2016. Trump could potentially cause them trouble in a primary, I suppose. But I don’t think McConnell is all that worried about 2020 now.
In the dictionary next to the definition of “Incest” there is a picture of the United States Congress.
Very telling squeal from the Republican Party.....Obviously they want Sessions in place stalling any prosecution of their Democrat friends. The GOPe is just as involved in the attempted Coup de Etat against the legally elected President as the DNCe
They both meet together down at the Bohemian Grove to worship Lucifer.
The Senate needs to support the needs of their constituents and their states and not be beholden to a President.
“”I dont understand it. Theres no more honorable person Ive ever met in my life than Jeff Sessions, said Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., a close friend of Sessions and his wife. The only person who is more upset with Trump about this than me, is my wife.”
````````````````````
Fine Senator Inhofe, but President Trump needs an Attorney General who knows how to defend the Constitution and the country from domestic enemies.....A WARRIOR.
