Those white sand beaches were created by real estate devlopers in the ‘20s by bringing sand up from the Coast. There were mud flats there before.

I had a slight friendship with a couple who were out to save nature, etc and ruined a Tahoe weekend for them by pointing out that the pristine beaches were man-madeand other various things that in their minds nature had provided in all of its glory.

The psycho-b!tch was really mad at me that only added to my satisfaction.

Hmmm, do you have a source for white sand being trucked in by developers? My understanding was the sand is natural.
