The International Monetary Fund expects Canada to lead the G7 for economic growth this year.
The IMF raised its outlook for Canada as part of its latest world economic outlook update.
It now expects the Canadian economy to grow by 2.5 per cent in 2017, up from its April projection of 1.9 per cent.

Let's hope USA's new numbers will be on the increase instead of decrease.
The IMF also revised down its US growth forecast from 2.3% to 2.1%.
... US growth for next year is now predicted to come in at 2.1%, instead of the 2.5% previously forecast.
In spite of Justin and the silly so and so running my province.
That said, I take IMF predictions with a grain of salt. When have they ever been right.
Seeing Legarde stand by our PM makes me think Little Pierre made a phone call something along these lines, "Hey, Christine. I'm in a little trouble since the terrorist payoff. Could you conjure up a positive economic report and jet over here to present it. Thanks."
