Impound the vehicle used (and the load) for a period of time…
Revoke a driver’s license…

On the other side, we need to lay this at the feet of people who proudly advocate ‘Sanctuary Cities’. They need to ‘own’ this.
Some ‘sanctuary’ these border-jumpers had. Dead in a truck before their 18th birthday.

I just heard on the news a politician say that is why we need a comprehensive immigration bill. I suppose he wants complete amnesty and air conditioned buses to ferry all the illegals here to avoid anything like that occurring again.
No one opened that truck as it passed through? Could have been a load of terrorists, or a dirty bomb, or anything sinister. Looks like a payoff was involved at the border.

I remember Tony Snow reporting on Fox News Sunday that a shipping container from China, on a dock in California, was opened and it was full of machine guns. They claimed not to know who it was for. I think they randomly check about ten per cent or so of shipping containers.

Hire about 5,000 Border Agents whose sole job is to inspect every truck, and additional 5K to inspect ships, and set up a battery of M1A1 Abrams Tanks along the southern border. Lob a 50mm shell as a 1st warning shot upon setup and fire on anything that moves afterward. We’re at war, we darn sure better set up for it YESTERDAY.
