Christie signs bill to create bathroom, other rights for transgender students

TRENTON -- Transgender students at New Jersey's public schools were given new layers of protection under a bill that Gov. Chris Christie signed into law Friday.

The legislation (S3067/A4652) -- which takes effect immediately -- requires the state education commissioner to draft specific guidelines to help schools address "the needs" of transgender students and establish policies that "ensure a supportive and nondiscriminatory environment" for those students.

Schools will be expressly told that they cannot force transgender students to use bathrooms or locker rooms that conflict with their gender identity.

Instead, schools would be be mandated to provide "reasonable alternative arrangements if needed to ensure a student's safety and comfort."

Schools will also be required to make sure transgender students are addressed by the name and pronoun they prefer, regardless of whether a legal name change has occurred.

GMTA! The best way to ensure “reasonable alternative arrangements if needed to ensure a student’s safety and comfort.” is to just outlaw multi-stall restrooms and school showers and replace them with single use, unisex facilities. But then the exhibitionist and voyeur “communities” will bitch and moan about their rights being compromised.

Virtua keep in mind that these schools are filled with kids teenagers. There’s going to be a whole lot of transgenders getting their asses kicked. It’s going to be a whole lot of name-calling and not in a very obvious way. A tranny is walking down the hall and somebody just walks by and calls of any one of a number of names and just keeps walking. And there isn’t a damn thing that the train is going to be able to do about it cuz it’ll be a he said he said or he said she said or whatever.

Some people are all bark and no bite. I don’t think the possibility that Trump could win NJ electoral votes in 2020 is a priority in choosing the AG.

You mean the sexual perversion enablement act of NJ?

Does this mean that crispie cream will be borrowing the DNC/Kaine/Biden windowless date rape-pedo free candy van again?

What about the right of the other 99.3 percent of the population to not be subjected to this lunacy? Apparently they don’t matter.

One can see why Chris Christie is concerned with transgender issues.

Thank you for referencing that article A_Former_Democrat. Please note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

"As opposed to “invasion of privacy of almost all students”"

It’s ironic that privacy was a major argument with respect to state sovereignty-ignoring Supreme Court activist justices stealing state powers and using those stolen powers to legislate from the bench the fictitious “constitutional right” to have an abortion, privacy no longer a consideration with respect to pushing likewise constitutionally fictitious LGBT “rights” in public schools.

Constitutionally low-information Gov. Christie is also unthinkingly violating the Constitution’s Clause 1 of Section 10 of Article I by effectively promoting misguided LGBT people as a protected / privileged class imo.

"Article I, Section 10, Clause 1: No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility [emphasis added]."

the answer is simple, we just need a new law Mandating the Immediate Removal of all restroom facilities at all taxpayer owned or operated property and have portable toilets setup out in front on the street/sidewalk.

gender nuetral for sure.
