President Trump is ramping up his criticism of Robert Mueller, warning that the special counsel investigating Russian election interference would cross the line by looking into his finances.
Mueller is now reportedly doing just that — looking at transactions involving Trump’s businesses and those of his associates.
The development is sure to exacerbate Trump’s frustration with the Russia probe, an investigation that has dogged his presidency and forced him and his closest aides to hire legal representation.
Among other things, Mueller is said to be probing potential obstruction of justice by Trump, following the president’s decision to fire FBI director James Comey at the height of the bureau’s investigation into Russian meddling — an event that precipitated Mueller’s appointment.
In recent weeks, Mueller has been building an all-star team of more than a dozen lawyers for the investigation; some of those appointees have come under scrutiny for donating money to Democratic political candidates.
All the while, the president has deemed the investigation a “witch hunt.”

Ignore Mueller. I’d say Trump should fire him, but even as a 14 year old, I well remember the fallout from the Saturday Night Massacre when Tricky Dick fired Archibald Cox.
Trump instead should appoint his own Special Investigator. It’s clear that Sessions is a joke. Unable and unwilling to do nothing else but ramp up asset forfeitures.
Trump needs to appoint Rudy G. to begin the criminal investigations against Hillary, Bill, Huma, Carlos Danger, Comey, Lynch, Podesta, and of course Obama.

This is a carefully crafted swamp-rat coup. Trump rewarding Sessions with DOJ was a huge error. Great guy, but far too cordial. Trump needs his own barracuda AG, as much a fighter as the four barracudas in my meme.

No chance. Trump won 59 of 67 Florida counties after wiping the floor with Rubio in the primaries. Rubio talks big but can’t do a thing. Trump is far, far more popular than the GOPe. And that is why they hate him.
Investigate Mueller and the all-star team of more than a dozen lawyers. Few can work in the swamp without getting dirty.

If I remember originally Trump said he welcomed the investigation because it would prove him innocent in the Comey firing
If Trump didn’t realize it wouldn’t be just that then he isn’t that smart when it comes to DC politics
But the Valerie Plame farce should have made him aware of what a minefield the investigation would be
Agree. Time to fight fire with fire. Turn up the heat on the Clintons and it will be easy to implicate half the lawyers Mueller hired as corrupt Clinton cronies. Suit. Countersuit.
