In a bold move to revive their healthcare bill, Senate Republican leaders are getting ready to propose giving $200 billion in assistance to states that expanded Medicaid, according to a person familiar with internal Senate negotiations.
The huge sum would be funded by leaving in place ObamaCares net investment income tax and its Medicare surtax on wealthy earners, according to the source briefed on the proposal.
The figure is likely to outrage conservatives, who would prefer to use the savings from the Senate healthcare bill to pay down the deficit.

This is one case where if it gets rid of that forsaken monster Deathcare it would be worth it to pay them off.
They have no mercy on the tax payers.
You gotta be kidding. They need 200 billion? Let the states that stupidly expanded Madicaid suffer for it, or contract it again.
Why aren’t Republicans mentioning that Americans were forced to sign up to Obamacare or face a penalty? Not all of the people signed up to want it.
Pigs at the trough. Disgusting.
Whoever offers and accepts should be shxt canned... but that’ll never happen.. They have to buy votes to get elected and buy votes to get there way. That’s bribery in my book
They make me just shake my head. They have absolutely no clue what Americans actually think or how we feel. Either that or they don’t care.
More inside the beltway brothel doing what they do best. Nothing but a bunch of whores that only respond to money. At best they are only absolutely disgusting.
So where is the list of states who would be getting this money?
It’s apparent the republicans don’t quite understand what the people who vote for them want.
They are still writing bills and plans that cater to the democrats and moochers (the FREFE S**T ARMY).
The purpose of rolling Obamacare back is to stop spending money we don’t have and stop screwing the taxpayer.
Republicans are supposed to be saving taxpayer money, not figuring out ways to spend more of it to buy off their arrogant self centered peers.
At least Rand Paul is objecting to the bill for the right reasons.
He isn’t trying to put the squeeze on for more free s**t.
Worth it!
The RINOs may want to do this, but probably can’t- it would lose conservative votes.
“likely to outrage conservatives”
Conservatives need to buy support from the moderates if they want to repeal obamacare.
Small price to pay IMHO.
forget that. Either they support the legislation or they can find someone else to fund their congressional runs off-ticket. Threaten to withhold RNC funding and watch them fall in line.
Will it be sent as a check or dozens of Iranian style pallets in the dead of night?
So we’ve gone from $989,000,000,000 in ten years to $2,000,000,000,000 excellent! No one saw this coming in 2009. /sarc
