Sessions’ bending over backwards to appear completey clean opened the door to unintended consequences. Trump mkaes a very good point. But I still thin Sessions is a good man, perhaps a bit too acquiescent.

Once again it seems there’s Trump and all his voters and then there’s everyone else. Sessions has always seemed like a good guy but at the end of the day he’s still a career politician. Trump isn’t part of the machine. Trump owes no favors and has never had to ‘play ball.’ Everyone else in D.C. has had to do so at least once or twice to get where they are now. EVERYONE.
If Sessions resigns now he could probably still get into the race and try and win his old Senate seat back.

Do people want him to have a press conference every day ? I don’t think that’s his style and I don’t think Trump wants him to do that. Not Trump’s style either (unless it’s Trump doing the press conference). And that makes perfect sense to me.
Trump was probably miffed at the recusal, but that is water under the bridge at this point. It was an honest answer!
I think people need to exercise patience before condemning AG Sessions as a disaster. Drudge is doing it too.

My conclusion and hope.....Trump is not stupid, if he wasn’t playing his enemies here and meant those words on Sessions he is stupid. So I think Trump is giving Sessions cover who is going after Clinton, Obama and other Washington swamp critters big time. Trump is an end goal guy....all about the win. Sessions would get more done without state critters interference by being very secretive about his investigations on some very powerful people with lots of operatives still in govt. This has too be what is happening.
Remember what Trump is up against and what they would do if they knew he was working to put them in orange jumpsuits.
I would like to see Sessions fire the assistant attorney general, the special prosecutor, & then resign himself.
In my opinion, Sessions is fine and will execute the plan fine... I think Trump was just candidly conveying his opinion that Sessions did not need to recuse himself on Russia, should not have recused himself on Russia, and should never recuse himself in any other areas without first consulting with Trump...
