Digging deeper into her father's background, he got his Bachelor's degree at the University of the West Indies in 1960, likely at the Jamaica campus given he received Jamaican Fellowships in 1957 and 1961. This means that it's likely that he didn't enter the United States until 1961 to go to graduate school at Berkeley.
What I do know is that he's one year younger than her mother, and she entered the United States in 1960 at age 22 to go to Berkeley. Reports are that her parents met as students in Berkeley, so he would have been 21-22 at the time. They married in 1963.
Since Kamala Harris was born in 1964, neither her mother nor her father could have met the five-year permanent residency period before beginning the naturalization process. They were probably in the United States on student visas, not permanent resident (green card) visas, but that cannot be proven. If so, then the five-year residency clock for naturalization would not have started.
The natural conclusion is that neither of her parents were United States citizens when Kamala Harris was born. This puts Harris in the same category as Marco Rubio and Bobby Jindal, born in the United States to two non-citizen parents.

It’s just not that easy to take a constitutionally obnoxious person and make them likeable. Witness Hillary. A lot of effort was put into launching, re-launching, re-re-launching, humanizing and otherwise packaging her attractively. Nothing worked. People just never warmed up to her.
Obama, being a Malignant Narcissist, had spent a lot of time figuring out how to effectively fool people. He understood how it was done. People like Hillary and Kamala Harris listen to their advisers and try to come across as likeable but there’s just too much to overcome. Their inner jerks always end up sneaking out and ruining the effect/effort.
