Remember that Mitch McConnell got all these moderates (that is, liberals) elected

Posted on 07/18/2017 11:43:06 AM PDT by cotton1706

Remember the primaries of 2014?? This is why they worked so hard to get the most liberal nominees possible.

Murkowski and Collins were lost causes (and remember that the Republican Establishment supported Murkowski over the REPUBLICAN NOMINEE in 2010).

Right behind Shelley Moore Capito in her liberalism are Thad Cochrane, Orrin Hatch, Johnny Isakson, Thom Tillis, Dean Heller, Rob Portman, etc. If Kelly Ayotte and Mark Kirk hadn't been defeated last November, they'd be standing with Collins and Murkowski and Capito too.

Mitch McConnell populated his caucus with like-minded liberals, who have been determined to thwart ANY conservative idea, momentum, or victory.

Mitch is gleeful today!

Mitch doesn’t care a hoot about anyone outside of his contributors (read US Chamber of Commerce). He will move heaven and earth to get what they want and they want single-payer. Mitch and the US Chamber of Commerce do not subscribe to the conservative ideals of Reagan but to the ideals of progressivism. The bigger the government the better for them to dole out our taxes to their political allies. I’m not sure what the answer is but I do know that our political houses need cleaning, desperately!

I tried to get all the Kentucky Freepers to vote against McConnell. I realized he was a snake when he funded those racist attack ads against McDaniel in Mississippi.

We would have been better off with an Enemy Soldier than a Traitor.

as much as I hate those liberal republicans, it is better that we have them, than to have Dems. We need to have a majority in the Senate to get Gorsuch and other judges. If we can elect more conservative Senators than these people, then do it. But don’t replace lib republicans with Dems.

It’s obvious McConnell doesn’t really want to repeal Obamacare.
He is going through the motions of replacing it halfheartedly so he can say he tried.

But he doesn’t have the guts or the votes to push a clean repeal bill through.

And his replacement bill is worse than Obamacare because it still contains most of the bad provisions of Obamacare.
And if it passed republicans would own the government medical plan and all the complaints, problems, cost over-runs, etc.

Democrats have the republicans in a nutcracker.

They knew that once they offered free and subsidized healthcare to the moochers there would be no way of ever totally undoing it.

When Obamacare fails democrats will accuse republicans of poor governance by not patching it up and spending more money on it.

And republicans are absolutely horrible at explaining to the public why we can’t afford Obamacare and why it needs to be repealed and replaced.

As long as Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell remain the leaders of the Republican caucuses in the House and Senate, America is doomed to collapse. Sad...but true. You all want Trump to Make America Great Again...then these two clowns and Trump hater turncoats must by fired immediately. End of story.

Is there not one “Republican” in the House and Senate that has a real spine with true leadership capabilities? I don’t think so.

Mitch McConnell's name will go down in history as a sad example of failed leadership, and future generations will see clearly who the House and Senate leaders were who frittered away the opportunity to do away with the 21st Century "Progressive" takeover of 1/6 of the American economy disguised in the "Trojan Horse" called Obamacare.

You likely won’t get a hard line conservative senator elected in some states like Maine, Ohio, Michigan.

I didn’t vote for this putrid turd in the primary or the general election. Other than Paul and maybe one congressman KY Republicans are just like the rest of the countries Republicans, bought and paid for Country Clubbers.

Bob Dole, Trent Lott, and Bill Frist preceded him. So they get progressively worse with time.

That the "powers that be"...including many on our side (i.e. Mark Levin, Ted Cruz, Rush Limbaugh, etc), don't really care of our Natural Law founding was made abundantly clear during the usurpation by Barry Soetoro who could never have been considered a "natural born Citizen" regardless of his place of birth...wherever that really may have been.

The problem certainly exists in more places than Kentucky. Over the last 8 years I have come to realize that a lot of our people are actually agents of the Unit-Party who owe their loyalty more to their Deep-State/Corporatist masters than they do to the ordinary citizens.

Fantastic point. Washington dumped billions into these moderates elections to ensure nothing conservative can get done. They fought many of the ones showing backbone. Cruz, Johnson, Lee were opponents of McConnell. I forgot the impact that had abandoning good conservatives to dump money in these moderates. Dammit. Now I am pissed.
