We have a very good conservative who went up against Juan McLame last go around by the name of Kelli Ward. She's a doctor too. She gave up a state senate seat just to run against him so she's serious about it.

I'm hoping Juan quits so our good conservative Governor can appoint her in the interim, let people get to know her and how good she is, then elect her at the next opportunity.

Tim Johnson had his brain removed, but the Democrats had a 51-49 control of the Senate so Harry Reid wouldn't let Johnson resign. He was absent for close to year, rather than let a Republican governor appoint his replacement.
