You are probably right but if anyone could get away with it Trump would be the one.
Then again it could be tough for the hard left world of driveby journalism to fight for following the letter of the law with their track record.
The alternative is let 15 others all who want his demise to decide what will be researched and what will be submitted as a final verdict by the special prosecutor in Oct. of next year which is more likely than in a few months.
I have a different view......Robert Mueller will destroy himself. I say let him go forward!!! The Democrat Party is destroying itself, the media has already killed itself off. The Mid-term elections will see the Democrat Party just about disappear, if it continues on this dead end course of “Trump” hate and envy, instead of programs, policies and legislative agendas.
The Republican Party will also see many surprises during the primary season. The “Never Trump” low life will be challenged in their primaries and, the money will be available to easily defeat them!!!
The overwhelming majority of the American people and voters are totally pissed off at the Democrats & their lock-step anti-Trump media!!! Take note, folks, you do not see many numbers of African-Americans at anti-Trump rallies anymore.
Obama, the Congressional Black Caucus & The NAACP has lost its connection with Black Americans, when it come to jobs, opportunities, education, safety, equality, quality of life, and the coming future of our nation. Obama in his eight years as POTUS did absolutely ZILCH for Black Americans!!!

I have seen no discussion of WHY Mueller was chosen as Special Counsel. Trump is miffed at Sessions for recusing himself—Sessions probably had to eventually recuse as he was no doubt surveiled—but at the time he did it his chosen new top staff were not in place and the FBI was led by Trump hater McCabe. This left a supposed a-political guy (Rod Rosenstien) to make a choice. He could not pick Giuliani because Rudy was no doubt surveiled as a member of the campaign. Rod should have picked a former republican US Attorney from a southern state who had been fired by Obama. They could have chosen anyone. But Mueller is strongly tied to Comey and Obama, and his hires of never-Trumpers and Democrat proves he is a dud.
So, should Trump form a war room to discredit Mueller? Recall Ken Starr and the intense mockery he was subjected to? I’ll never forget Carville’s Rush parody screaming sex fiend Starr is a space alien trying to kill our babies with cigarettes! The media was even going through the trash at Starr’s home.
