Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell R-Ky announced Saturday that he was delaying consideration of health care legislation in light of Sen. John McCain’s absence from recent surgery.

McCon+nell released a statement on Saturday night saying that he was deferring action on the measure as McCain recovers at his home in Arizona. Is anyone surprised?

(Why not let him vote over the phone from Arizona? CBS let Christmas on Big Brother vote from her hospital room outside the Big Brother house. /s)

The GOP KNOWS the American people voted for them
to repeal ObamaCARE, but believe their failure
will only hurt Pres. Trump.

The GOP is hated by the People for lying,
over and over, and this is just more by the
party that sicced the IRS on conservatives,
and that let Obama and McCain start ISIS.

If McCain doesn’t “recover”, then what? Not going to “consider” the bill at all. Mcturtle is an idiot and a failure as senate so-called leader. Leader, my ass.

I believe that during the Obama years the GOP sent many (60 or 70?) bills to the Oval Office repealing Obamacare. Hussein wouldn’t sign them. I think DJT should grab that last one, sign it, and be done with it.

They should be embarrassed to refuse to repeal Ocare now when they tried oh-so-hard (/s/) to repeal it before. They’re only players in a theater production. In 2018 maybe we can dump a good many of them in favor of people who’ll be committed to helping DJT do his job.

I’m sure he’s using a qualified obamacare plan...let’s hope it’s a lobotomy.

He’s not Maverick, he’s a Marsha. Marsha, Marsha, Marsha! Everything has to revolve around Marsha! I bet he scheduled the surgery right after McConnell announced no vacation last week.

Was this emergency surgery or was it scheduled? The delay is awfully convenient for McConnell.

FOX News is reporting that the insurance groups don't like the Cruz amendment to the bill, calling it "unworkable."

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/07/15/major-insurance-groups-call-part-health-bill-unworkable.html

The insurance groups are the ones that are taking in hundreds and hundreds of billions, both in government "subsidies" and payouts, and the hard earned dollars of families and individuals that pay outrageous premiums, co-pays, and deductibles.

Essentially, there are two factors at work that make health care in the US so expensive:

1. The have nots want the "haves" to pay, even though the "haves" don't have that much. The people who use the most health care need others (young, healthy, low users of insurance, etc) to pay for their heath care. But health insurance is bankrupting much of American, and is choking our economic growth.

2. The combination of 3rd party paying through the health insurance cabals, combined with ObamaCare making them essential public utilities whereby the government has to pay billions to them, has increased costs exponentially. This adds to the problem of so many "middle men" in the health insurance and care business, so that everyone has their hand in the cookie jar, taking their "cut" - the lawyers, the middle men, the bill collectors, and especially the major insurance providers. Take any medical procedure, and the US is far and away more expensive because we bill everyone else so that those who "take" from the health care system and pay little to no cost add to everyone else's costs.

The insurance companies have spent hundreds of millions in lobbying for this this bill alone. In fact, the current Republican bill was largely written by their K Street lobbying firms.

"Is anyone surprised?"

As I said before... That stinking, rotten, back stabbing, SOB McCain is the single biggest problem Trump faces in Washington..!

For how many decades, it is well beyond just years now, have the populace been screaming about the liars in the halls of Congress only to keep voting their own liars back in?

I have to disagree with you to a degree ronnie as this may very well be the iceberg that the normal voter can see plainly to the errors of their way of keeping “their guy” in there while all of the 532 of the others are not worthy of keeping their “representative” position supposedly representing us.

I think DJT should grab that last one, sign it, and be done with it.

Once the bill is vetoed then it's dead. Congress would have to pass it again and send it to President Trump. Of course now that the GOP controls all three branches then the desire to repeal is gone and they're all now hell-bent on repealing and replacing with something just as bad it its own way.

He should still get a copy of the bill and sign it. Just to say, "you passed this 2 years ago, what's wrong with it now?" Shame the jerks.

Maybe more. At least you have to respect the RATS for their loyalty and perseverance. The Republicans just suck.

“If McCain doesn’t “recover”, then what?”.........

I think a possible “no” vote will come from “McLame”. Trumps main “obstructionists” McConnell knows it and is waiting for the vote to insure it fails.
