Canadians across the country have been reaching into their wallets to donate money to the family of an American soldier whom Omar Khadr is accused of killing in Afghanistan 15 years ago.
The online fundraising effort – part political protest, part generosity – comes amid a furor over the $10.5 million sources said the federal government paid Khadr for breaching his rights while he was an American prisoner at Guantanamo Bay.

The government of Canada has paid Khadr for killing the American soldier. It is a signal to others, possibly intended, that there is money to be made. Were the soldier a general I would have to surmise that that government were fulfilling a contract. Canada can’t afford to pay rewards to everyone who kills mere American soldiers.

This just kills Me every time.
Rights? What rights? He’s not an citizen of the USA! The only “rights” he has is those of a POW, and since he was not in uniform when he was captured and is still breathing, I will assume we were not at war when his capture occurred since No Uniform would mean no Geneva Convention rights and he could be summarily shot immediately after capture or after it was determined that he had no useful information to provide.
Why so many people continue to scream about the so-called “rights” of these sub-human pieces of filth is disgusting.
