President Donald Trump says that Putin would have preferred Clinton win the election, despite the animus between the Russian president and the former Secretary of State.
Trump’s right. Hillary can be bought, and has been bought by the Russians.
And I love that he says it to Pat Robertson. Just when you think he can’t annoy liberals any more :)
At this point he probably would. It would not surprise me if Trump doesn’t end up causing Putin to be deposed in favor of someone better for the Russian people and the world. I think you need to watch it when he says glowy and insincerely flattering things, as he has done with Putin.
Trump’s gift seems to be in choosing good people and I doubt that Putin (or most of us) qualify. Which is as it should be :)

Hillary would be doing all she could to help ISIS kill Russians.
Trump has used military force against Assad’s forces five times from April to June. I think Hillary, despite her tough talk during the campaign, would have continued Obama’s policy of doing nothing in Syria. Russia’s foreign ministry also denounced Trump’s tweet attacking Fidel Castro after Castro’s death in November.
It is clear to me that Putin’s interests would be better served with a Hillary presidency. He wants to reincorporate the ‘near abroad’ nations into greater Russia...the risk in destabilizing the Baltics would be far lower under Clinton. Certainly, he may have wanted a worthy adversary as the U.S. president but his strategic interests would have been better served with a weak and corrupt Hillary.
Besides, Putin already knows where to send his “donations” to Hillary.
That info might even be on his “speed-dial”.
